Ski Area offers 560+ acres, 8,600’ base elevation, 10,677’ summit elevation, 80 runs, terrain: 21% beginner, 56% intermediate, 23% advanced, 3 freestyle terrain parks and 4 glades, 2 high speed quad chairlifts, 3 double chairlifts and 2 conveyor lifts, 210” average annual snowfall and 52% of the mountain has snowmaking.
Bike Park offers forty-one miles of new and enhanced mountain bike trails for every skill level.
Golf Course: Come tee off at 8,500’ on our par 72, 6,653 yard, 18-hole golf course surrounded by the majestic southern Rocky Mountains in Angel Fire, New Mexico. The front nine incorporates a longer-playing layout that meanders through two unspoiled canyons of aspen, spruce, and pine, while the back nine offers links-style play with smaller greens and plenty of bunkers. The signature hole, #6, places the golfer on the tee box 200 vertical feet above the green, 239 yards away, surrounded by groves of aspen trees and towering pines.
The Nordic Area: The Angel Fire Resort Nordic Center offers over 17 km of groomed, classic and skate cross-country ski trails. Snowshoeing is also allowed on these trails.
AFR Clubhouse-The clubhouse is situated at 8,600’ elevation, with views oriented north towards Wheeler Peak-the tallest peak in New Mexico. It provides state-of-the-art golf and membership amenities, and showcases environmentally friendly engineering together with alpine-inspired architecture and design. The centerpiece of the design is the stunning panoramic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains surrounding Angel Fire, however, the towering rock fireplace and giant white spruce beams of the upstairs grand hall in the Elements Dining Room will also compete for attention.
AFR Olympic Park- Near the golf course, Olympic Park provides a great backdrop for a relaxing family fun day. It’s outfitted with a small pond, playground equipment, tennis courts, basketball courts and picnic area.
AFR Monte Verde Lake-Monte Verde Lake is a beautiful spring fed high mountain place to hike, fish with family, boat, paddle board or just relax on shore. The 28-acre lake is stocked with rainbow lake trout throughout the summer – perfect for a family fish fry. Fishing equipment, bait, stand-up paddle boards and pedal boats are available. Kids’ climbing wall and eurobungy are available for the children to get their adrenaline pumping. The trail around the lake and the Lady Slipper trail are perfect for family hiking and biking. On the west side of the lake there is a floating dock for fishing or just relaxing.
